Ladakh & Kashmir – Across the Top of the World – Srinagar & Delhi

Welcome to day 23 of our Top of the World tour.

This morning we were up early to visit the floating vegetable markets, where local farmers sell their produce – all from their small canoes. A lot of bargaining and bartering went on and it was fabulous to see.
After returning to the houseboats for a very relaxed and decadant brunch, we left for Srinagar Airport and our flight back to Delhi. After three weeks in the mountains it was a little strange to be back in the humid monsoonal Delhi air, but good to return to the beautiful Claridges Hotel.

This evening we’ve come out to one of my favourite spots in Delhi – Khan Market and found a small restaurant for our final dinner as a group, most of whom are departing tomorrow so this will be our final video of the trip.

I hope you have enjoyed being with us over the past three and a half weeks, as we travelled up into the western Indian Himalayas, through three Indian states and covered nearly 2500km by road and rail before flying back to Delhi from Srinagar.

If you’re interested in joining this trip next year, all the details are on this webpage.

Contact us if you have any questions regarding the trip and I really look forward to showing you around Ladakh & Kashmir next year as we traverse the Top of the World.
